Culturally-Competent, Character-Building Curriculum
Client: International museum and education center
The Challenge: This client operates a major museum and education center that attracts visitors from around the world. However, the organization was looking for a strategic way to sustain its operations and to build a diversified source of revenue. The newly appointed executive director also wanted to build an exciting and innovative curriculum that could differentiate the organization globally.
Our Approach: We developed a process that engaged the client's staff and board in a series of strategic conversations about the best way to leverage the organization's brand and reputation so that it would be appreciated and embraced by a diverse and global audience. This required us to draw upon our experience in curriculum design and instructional development to help the client develop a business model that could inspire youth from diverse ethnic, religious, and political backgrounds, while also adding addtional revenue to the operating budget.
The Work: Through our work with this client, we demonstrated a number of our core business capabilities:
- data collection and data analysis;
- instructional design; and
- graphic design and layout.
Outcomes: The client now has a comprehensive curriculum model that features six courses focused on the organization's six core values. The model is being offered to teachers and administrators in the city's local public school system.
