That was the goal of the Asia-Montana Energy Summit & Leadership Symposium (AMES) that we were asked to co-facilitate at the University of Montana. This by-invitation-only event for 70 leaders was an opportunity for senior North American and Asian leaders to brainstorm and share in a more relaxed environment about the future of energy in our region and internationally. The goal was to promote constructive dialogue and build relationships across sectors and borders. Attendees included community members, students, professors and teachers, civic leaders, media representatives, business executives, policy officials, and energy stakeholders from the United States and Northeast Asia who were interested in promoting public education, engaging in constructive dialogue, and encouraging collaboration around these vital issues.
